You Ask Him Yourself!

We want to encourage you to be bold in your relationship with God. Hebrews 10:19 says we should enter boldly into God’s Holy Presence – by the Blood of Jesus!

Jesus actually said just before He died, you won’t need to come to Me any more in order to get what you want and need from God. He said, “In that day [after His death and resurrection – the day we are living in now] you shall ask Me nothing… Whatsoever you shall ask the Father in My Name, He will give it you… Ask and you shall receive… In that day you shall ask in My Name, and I don’t say I will pray the Father for you, for the Father Himself LOVES you, because YOU have LOVED Me.” – Jn 16:23-24 & 26-27.

If that is so, if we don’t even need to ask Jesus to ask the Father for us, if we can ask God direct ourselves, just using the Name of Jesus (that’s exactly what Jesus said to do), then why do we lean so much on other people we think are ‘holier’ than ourselves? – On the pastor, the visiting preacher, the renowned man of God? Where do we get the idea that, to get an answer from God, the most sure way is to ask someone else to ask God for us?! This is quite contrary to what Jesus said!

And why do we turn to some so called ‘man of God’ who promises, for a donation, an answer to our prayers, when Jesus died so that we can enter direct ourselves by His Blood into the Holy Presence of the Father and ourselves ask for the help we need? – Hebrews 4:16.

Jesus paid the price for us! Yes, often it is easier to receive a healing or an answer to prayer in a church meeting. Why? Not because the preacher has something you do not and cannot have, but because they can impart their faith to you… It is very much like going for a driving lesson in a dual control car: you are at the
steering wheel, driving maybe nervously but the instructor is teaching you the faith and confidence he himself has, so that you in turn can receive the gift of being able to drive a car!

Understand who you now are, who you are in Christ! You are NOT a nobody – you are a child of God!

Godis your Father, He is responsible for you,you are HIS. He is not a neglectfulDad. He is concerned for YOU! HeMUST take care of you, He WILL blessyou, because without blessing, you willnot survive!

A small child, even a newborn, knows how to get what it needsout of its earthly parents for comfort, for blessing and survival – a feed, achange, warmth, play-timeand attention. You may not be grownupin your faith yet, but you, like achild, can exercise enough ‘pressure’,enough determination to get whatyou need for your survival – or as theBible says, for your salvation! What isthe point of your salvation if God cannot/will not help you?

Paul wrote: ‘Hethat spared not His own Son, but deliveredHim up for us all, how shall He notwith Him, freely give us all things?!’ Jesus, when He taught the disciples how to pray, said God has enough wisdom to KNOW what you need BEFORE you ask (Matt 6:8) – but YOU have to ASK (Lk 11:8-9)!

Jesus said so! He didn’t say, “Ask someone else to ask!” YOU ask! God WILL answer. Jesus said so! And Jesus also said, you HAVE to enter the Kingdom of God like a child, like children do. And the fact is, if you have given your life to Christ, you ARE His child! He WILL take care of you, PERSONALLY.

People often seem to think that to receive an answer to prayer, to get a blessing from God, a healing, is some kind of HUGE hurdle that requires enormous nervous effort, with uncertain outcome, like an examination at school: you may get a pass, or failure, depending on how you perform on the day. Yes, there is often a battle involved, but no, we must never give up; if we don’t win today, we’re still fighting tomorrow (Lk 18:1). But the good things your Heavenly Father has for you are an expression of His love, His kindness, His tenderness, His goodwill towards you. The delay, the difficulty comes from the world we live in, not from God. – Jesus said, “In the world you will have trouble, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” – Jn 16:33.

Nothing can hinder or stop YOU from entering into God’s loving presence and receiving help from HIM. No sin, no weakness, no evil spirit, no power, no principality can separate you from the love of God – when you come to Him by the Blood of His Son. It’s that simple. – Rom. 8:37-39.
