God was saying to me, “I want you David!” And the devil was saying, “Don’t you realise you’re saved, you got baptised in water, filled with the Holy Spirit – that’s enough!” But God was saying, “I want YOU!” He didn’t say, “I want you to be a preacher, I want you to be an evangelist, a missionary…” –God said, “David, I want ALL of you, EVERYTHING! – Your life, your family, your time, your house, every single thing – I want the lot!”
Issue 54: In writing this article and this magazine, we do not want you to be afraid or discouraged. God is your Father, it is His job to look after you. It is your job to realise that He does!
Issue 53: So often we read stories in the newspaper or see them on television – stories of immense courage and bravery and daring. I want to tell you about one of the most amazing stories in the Bible of someone who did something incredibly brave, that took incredible faith and courage. In Matthew 14 Jesus had been with the multitudes all day and by a miracle had fed 5,000 of them. Afterwards He told His disciples to get into a ship, sent the people away, but He Himself went up the mountain to pray. The disciples were in the ship all night.
Issue 52: ‘Conspiracy theory’ is not new. The whole world has been in a power struggle since the devil first tempted Eve todisobey God. ‘Evil imaginations continually’ (Genesis 6:5), the rise and fall of kingdoms and empires, are the stuff of Bible and world history.
Issue 51: As believers, Jesus said that we are the light of the world! We must rise above the recession, show that our feet are on rock, that when others around us are panicking, God will deliver us! Our feet must stand on a firm foundation, the Word of God itself.
